Dear GISH PICKS reader –
I love to PICK organizations and events to recommend to you and I’m also crazy about finding day camps. My guide to summer camps, DAY CAMPS HOUSTON, is the LARGEST and MOST ACCURATE in the city – I’ve been researching Houston day camps since 2003 and I love finding cool day camps for kids. I’m all about IGNITING LIVES (see why here) and kids exploring their interests during school vacations are a great way to do that.
So here’s my holiday gift to you: my curated list of WINTER CAMP PICKS. School will be out soon (YIKES! It’s true!) and I want you to be all ready. Let the kids go play while you work/shop/catch your breath. These camps are the best around and I’ve worked with all of them for years so I can wholeheartedly recommend them to you. Read below and you’ll see how unique each one is.
Please check them out, sign your kiddos up, and let the organization know I sent you. Also, please go to my website to grab the link for my GISH PICKS: CURATED CULTURE FOR KIDS & ADULTS blog and share that with your friends. Not only will you help them find great camps for their kids but you’ll also help me since my business grows by word of mouth. Thanks so much for your support of my work and that of the great organizations that bring you these day camps.
Here’s to a great winter break!
P.S. The Houston Center for Contemporary Craft doesn’t have a winter camp but they are hosting their monthly, first Saturday, super cool, always free drop-in craft activity for the whole family – Hands-On Houston – on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11am-3pm at the Museum, located at 4848 Main Street. This month’s focus is “Paper Pods with Zoe Gross” and you’ll get to work with current resident artist Zoe Gross to explore paper sculptures by creating your own paper pods. Mark your calendars now!
