GISH PICKS!

Hello dear GISH PICKS reader! I hope you are enjoying these final days of May as we creep closer to summer. If you're panicking about finding good day camps in Houston, doncha worry! I am here to help.

First of all, sit a moment and watch me chat about summer day camps with the fun folks at Houston Life. And take a moment to read what I’ve written about camps in Houstonia Magazine and Local Houston Magazine. I know all about Houston day camps and boy, do I LOVE to let people know about them! Stick with me and I’ll keep you informed. Pinky promise.

Now it’s time to check out THE SUMMER BOOK® ONLINE: A GUIDE TO HOUSTON DAY CAMPS AND CLASSES FOR KIDS & TEENS – at www.DayCampsHouston.com – it’s the LARGEST and MOST ACCURATE guide in the city – I’ve been researching summer day camps since 2003 and I love finding cool camps for kids. I’m all about IGNITING LIVES (see why here) and exploring interests during the summer at camps are a great way for kids to do that.

There are over 200 camps to choose from so there’s at least one camp that’s perfect for every child! They can explore fencing, Mandarin Chinese, horseback riding, pottery, cooking, inventing, and much more! You can find camps by age group, area of town, subject matter, and much more! It’s so easy, you’ll love it. Best of all, you can search from anywhere – the carpool line, at work (shhh!), and while at the beach.

And because I love to make recommendations of summer camps and organizations that offer classes, below is my curated list of camps that I want you to be sure you check out. I’ll be sending these CAMP PICKS out for the next few months so keep an eye out for them and happy searching!

If you have any questions or would like a speaker to come and talk to your group about summertime family fun, please contact me. I’d love to help!
