It’s another week of quarantine and another week with the kiddos. Yeehaw! The future seems uncertain but we know for sure that summer WILL come.’s time to start dreaming and planning and my CAMP PICKS below will help you do that. I was looking around for some resources to send you this week and found three things to share, please click on the highlighted text to access. The Jung Center of Houston is offering an online course, Parenting in the New World: Nurturing Our Children and Ourselves (Livestreaming), from May 4-25. Houston-based rock star Brené Brown gives a talk on The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting. And Patty Wipfler, founder and Program Director of Hand in Hand Parenting, a non-profit, parent-led organization, is hosting a phone call, Helping Parents When Parenting Gets Hardthis Saturday, May 2 at 11am CDT. It’s presented by Awakin, a lovely nonprofit that serves to awaken wisdom in stillness and community.

Thankfully there are a lot of organizations that are doing fun things for families. I shared the list below with you before but I’ve added a few new ones because the list just keeps growing. Click on links for more info and enjoy, explore, create!

Stay tuned via GISH PICKS for all my CAMP PICKS, coming at you each holiday season. Be sure you’re on my GISH PICKS KIDS email list here and you can also follow all my CAMP PICKS on my Facebook pages here and here! I’ve been researching Houston area DAY CAMPS since 2003 and love finding cool-n-unique ones. I’m all about IGNITING LIVES (see why here) and exploring interests through day camps are a great way to do that.

My heart is with each one of you as you navigate life right now. But there are brighter days ahead. Here’s to a happy, healthy, virus-free summer!
